SFC Welcomes Mr David S. Y. Wong's Appointment

The Securities and Futures Commission welcomes the appointment by the Financial Secretary of Mr David S. Y. Wong to the Advisory Committee of the SFC.

Mr Eddy Fong, the SFC Chairman, said: “I would like to extend my warm welcome to Mr David Wong. I am certain the SFC and the Hong Kong financial market will benefit from his wealth of experience and expertise.”

“I would also like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to Mr Peter Sullivan for his invaluable advice and contribution to the SFC when he was serving on the committee,” Mr Fong added.

The Advisory Committee is set up pursuant to section 7 of the Securities and Futures Ordinance to advise the SFC on matters of policy regarding any of its regulatory objectives and functions.
